Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our handwoven Banarasi sarees
General Information
Heirloom Banaras is a heritage brand dedicated to preserving the art of Banarasi handloom weaving. We work directly with master weavers in Varanasi to bring you authentic, heirloom-quality sarees.
All our sarees are handwoven in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh — the heartland of Banarasi silk weaving.
Currently we operate exclusively online, allowing us to bring our curated collection directly to you across India and internationally.
Product Details & Care
We offer pure Banarasi silk sarees including Katan silk, Organza (Kora), Georgette, and Shattir, featuring zari, meenakari, and brocade work.
Authentic Banarasi sarees have a slightly heavier feel, a rich lustre, and intricate woven (not printed) motifs. Each saree from Heirloom Banaras comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Dry clean only. Store wrapped in a muslin cloth. Avoid direct sunlight, moisture, and contact with perfume. Air the saree occasionally to maintain its sheen.
We strongly advise against home washing. The delicate silk and zari threads require professional dry cleaning to preserve their quality and longevity.
